Located 48km south of Kontum with its capital city
Pleiku, Gia Lai is a dwelling place of a lot of different ethnic
minorities. The town is 785m above sea level, which makes the climate
rather cool. When coming there, tourists will experience an unusual
burial custom of the Jarai minority. The grave is set up as a miniature
village with several people buried in one graveyard, which is typically
made of wood with a thatched roof, and decorated with figures of human
beings and animals, and is surrounded by wooden and cement fences. |

Tnung Lake or Sea Lake, located about 10km north of
Pleiku, in Gia Lai Province. Situated in the middle of the highlands red
soil area, Tnung Lake looks like an emerald with its green clear water.
It is believed to have been formed from a prehistoric volcano crater.
Both the lake itself and surrounding area boast beautiful scenery,
making it the pride of the Pleiku highland area.
Yaly Falls, 60m in height, was once the largest waterfall in the Central
Highlands. It is a beautiful site along the Po Co River. A new
hydroelectric power plant was built at Yaly Waterfall and has a design
capacity of 673 KW.
