The Cham Museum, founded in 1915, still preserves works
of art discovered in the ancient capital and the ancient holy land of
the Cham. At present, there are about 300 objects displayed in 10 rooms
in different styles, providing the history of the Cham kingdom going
from the most prosperous period to its decline.
The Marble Mountains, about 8km southeast of Da Nang, is a group of five
beautiful Marble Mountains named after the 5 essential elements of the
oriental universe: the Metal (Kim), the Wood (Moc), the Water (Thuy),
the Fire (Hoa) and the Soil (Tho). The highest and the biggest one is
the Thuy (Water) with its attractive pagodas and caverns preserving Cham
vestiges. |
