Quang Tri, whose capital city is 74km north of Hue, was
the hottest bomb-dropping zone during wartime. This province is endowed
with Ben Hai River crossed over by Hien Luong Bridge, the demarcation
line between Northern and Southern Vietnam for 20 years. |

Vinh Moc Tunnel came into being in the years 1965-1966
in desperate wartime. The tunnel system, once being the shelter of a
country village, built underground in 3 levels, consists of living area,
dining room, bomb shelters, authority office, provision and ammunition
depots.
Truong Son Military Cemetery, where revolutionary combatants killed
along Ho Chi Minh trail rest in peace, is about 30km from Dong Ha, Gio
Linh District. This is a monument reflecting the gratitude of the
Vietnamese people to the ones who sacrificed their lives for the
independence of the country.
DMZ zone is the former battlefield at the Ben Hai River.
